Welcome to Fort Worth Alliance of Black School Educators!

The Fort Worth Alliance of black school Educators is devoted to furthering the academic success for the city’s children- particularly children of African descent. FWABSE is dedicated to improving both the educational experiences and accomplishments of African-American youth through the development and use of instructional and motivational methods that increase levels of inspiration, attendance and overall achievement.

Message From President

Dr. Cherie Washington has been in education for 23 years and has served the Fort Worth Independent School District for 17 years. She is known as a “Turnaround Principal” at Eastern Hills High School and Meadowbrook Middle Schools where she served as both campuses progressed to academically acceptable status. Cherie currently serves over 39,000 as the Chief of Secondary Schools for Fort Worth ISD. She leads her team to work collaboratively with Directors in Elementary School Leadership.
